Midyear Review of Performance Contracting

The Ministry will conduct a midyear review of performance contracting to ensure effective monitoring of progress on the implementation of Performance Contracts for the Financial Year 2015/2016.
The purpose of the Mid –Year Performance Review is to monitor performance of the MDAs in order to ensure that they are on track in achieving their annual performance targets. The performance contracts are now in their 12th cycle since they were introduced into the public sector.
The review will also identify challenges that MDAs are facing in implementing their performance contracts and findings will be used to devise strategies of addressing the factors hindering performance.
The Acting Director of the Performance Contracting Division, Mrs. Florence Wahome said the review will focus on key indicators that have direct impact on the citizens and will include; utilization of allocated funds, Youth and Women Empowerment, National Cohesion and national values and key operations indicators under each of the nine sectors.
The exercise will be coordinated by the Division of Performance Contracting and will also incorporate the Kenya Vision 2030 Secretariat who will monitor the Flagship projects that are spread all over the country.
